Smoke

I was out last night. Went to a couple places where I felt like a goldfish. Instead of being in a container of water, I was a fish in a bowl of smoke. So why does cigarette smoke smell so bad? Why does it cling to you? I imagine that if you look at the smoke particle very closely they are covered in velcroesque hooks. What if human produced methane was made like that? That would ruin a lot of folk's days...and don't we wish perfum was that clingy. I better call a chemist.
